I visited Asda Bridgwater about 9.30am this morning 29/11/23 to pick up some click and collect orders. The lady that served me on the customer service desk (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name!) was extremely helpful, friendly and courteous and wasn't fazed by the mountain of parcels that I had! She is a credit to your store. Please pass this feedback on to her.
Home delivery, what a shambles!!
Slot booked, and no delivery, only to phone up to be told it isn’t turning up,
customer service is a call centre Usless!!
I took myself into store to chat with duty manager and he was much more helpful.
Thanks
The store itself is fine. Well stocked etc.
However two things have really reduced our visits to the store over the past year or two.
The car Park.
It's a death trap. It's tightly packed, crossing poorly marked, people randomly walking out Infront of cars etc.
The next thing is the onsite security.
A few weeks back there were a group of kids playing on their bikes at the end of the car park. They rode out Infront of cars and gave them the finger. One kid even whacked into a car. As I walked into the store two ppl were already telling security to which they basically said "Not much we can do" which is incorrect and seems like they've either been trained poorly, were too lazy to do anything or simply not paid enough to approach a group of 5 teenagers on their own. I think it's a mix between the prior and latter.
Another time (Saturday night) there were two men outside approaching women who were on their own making comments. Security didn't seem that bothered and said "It's a Saturday night" 🤷♂️. One girl ended up calling the cops because he'd grabbed her. When the police arrived security was straight out there pretending they were doing everything they could to help.
Another time a guy and a woman were outside asking customers if they wanted to buy "weed or coke?". Once again security were very much like "well it's a Saturday night" after I shopped I came out and the security guard was outside smoking with them laughing and joking.
Personally we've never felt very safe going there some evenings or parking in there during the day at busy times.
We've changed to Aldi and Morrisons. Not cool.
The trolley guy Will is a legend, always happy to help and very polite. If anyone from management see's this please recognise his efforts in some way!
Pleasant shopping experience with friendly staff and plenty of choice for your weekly shopping. Everything that you'd expect from an Asda. However, as some reviewers suggested it does get quite crowded!
Great store, great staff and brilliant service. Car park is a complete nightmare, hence the drop to 4 stars. My car has been hit twice and everyday you see close calls. A one way system would work souch better.
Don't bother the checkout girl is in desperate need of some training she is rude with a big attitude. When we walked in she had already upset someone and the way she was speaking to him was disgusting. Then it was my turn get some petrol and a drink. She refused to serve me my energy drink because I had my son with me. I am 43 years of age . Its like she feels very powerful behind the till deciding who is allowed what. Sorry but I think u meed better staff. Disgusting
We were unable to get a taxi home from shopping at asda today. A wonderful man that works there gave us a lift in his car.
There are some people out there willing to go that one step extra. Cannot thank him enough.
